Single Gun Theory formed in 1986 in Sydney as a three-piece electro-pop group. They released three albums between 1987 and 1994, on the Canadian label Nettwerk and Australian label Volition, also scoring a film soundtrack in 2000. They music explored a downtempo style, utilising vocals, samples and synths with world music influences.
Single Gun Theory were briefly coaxed out of their hiatus to produce a remix for Clan Analogue artist Valley Forge.
