Disla System is a Sydney-based artist who has been creating live improv elektroniq/breakkore, visuals, sculpture and sound art installations for the past 15 years at both legal and not-so-legal parties. Disla System has worked with Sydney krews such as Prohibited Projects, Tribots, M+D and Dirty Shirlows, and is currently running killer watt systems. Examples of his work can be found on many mediums but mostly broken hard drives and examples exist on YouTube, myspace and Pure Volume. dislasystem is an absolute nutter who is cited as making music like no one else on earth. No clear genre can be associated to his works and often listeners are left disturbed and bewildered, becoming socially introverted and disconnected… In 2002 after a live performance in the Gladstone Hotel (Regent St, Sydney), it is claimed the audience were rendered completely silent for 4 hours after an invocation of the Yolngu Law Dog spirit. People have reported poltergeist activity whilst listening to recordings and it has been recommended to not listen with headphones.
