Data Transmit is the alter ego of electronic musician and drummer Nicholas Gray. After a few years of playing in bands and orchestras he stumbled upon the world of electronic music and has never looked back. He is heavily influenced by underground electro and metal but when on his computer he definitely doesn’t stick to just one genre. He chose to cover the Severed Heads track “Dead Eyes Opened” on Clan Analogue’s Headspace compilation because it made a great impression on him when he first heard it in the late 90’s. Data Transmit has played at various venues around Sydney and has also performed and been played on the radio. He has a great passion for music and is a proud member of Clan Analogue.
